Whether it be the detail oriented tasks of pre-production, such as breaking down a script, scheduling and budgeting or the day to day operation of principal photography, with President, Michael J. Zampino at the helm, Accio Cine is ready for the demands of features both large and small.
Michael J. Zampino's journey in the entertainment industry began in 1993 at Silver Pictures, where he reported to Producer, Joel Silver on notable projects like "Demolition Man" and "Tales From the Crypt." This experience provided him with a comprehensive understanding of Hollywood's inner workings.
In 2003, Michael made Los Angeles his home and assumed the role of CFO/COO at Production HQ. Over the years, he produced various shorts and features, including the acclaimed horror film "The Slaughter" and the cult hit "Zombie Strippers!"
Throughout his career, Michael has been involved in a spectrum of projects, from horror to comedy. Notable highlights include producing the award-winning "Empty Rooms" and line producing "Shirin In Love." His tenure at WingSpan Pictures and Genius Pictures further enriched his expertise. Additionally, Michael took on the role of Line Producer for both critically acclaimed films "A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night” and served as a Producer for "Love Is All You Need.”
In recent years, Michael has been consulting on projects for both Miramax and Ley Line Entertainment. His work has led him around the world, engaging in a variety of projects across different genres such as horror, comedy, and drama, among others.
Most recently, Michael worked on “The Holdovers” which received five nominations at the 96th Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Giamatti; Randolph won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Additionally, he Executive Produced “He’s All That” in 2021 and “Sick” in 2022, further demonstrating his adaptability to emerging platforms and trends in the industry.
Michael also contributed to, “Here,” the latest film written and directed by Robert Zemeckis; featuring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. Set for release in the Fall of 2024, it's expected to be an Oscar contender.
Currently, Michael is developing numerous feature projects and will be entering pre-production in late summer on “DARK”, a horror film set in Jamaica.
